Paper Layering

Paper layering is actually quite simple despite it's name. Basically it is just layering pieces of paper on top of each other to create a beautiful and complex layout. You may think that because you need lots of paper strips and shapes that layering could cost a lot of money. You're right about that... it COULD be expensive if every strip was cut from a separate sheet of paper and the rest was discarded. But if you don't discard those scraps and use THEM to make the strips it would be much much cheaper. Here is a page that I made using paper layering.

I used all scraps for the layering parts and I LOVE the way that it turned out. So basically you're just cutting out small strips of paper and layering them for dimension. I hope that this helped those of you who were wondering what everyone was talking about when they used the term paper layering... perhaps you're have been using it in your albums all along and you didn't even know it! I know that I did!
